NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- No. 3/4 Vanderbilt will face off with No. 21/24 Memphis on Friday night at 6 p.m. CT.
The match will be broadcast on SEC Network, the first of three that the Commodores will play in the regular season.
Record Ranking
• Vanderbilt is No. 3 in both the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 4 in TopDrawerSoccer, the highest in program history for both.
• They are up two spots from their opening position of No. 5, where they also ended the 2025 season.
State of Soccer
• Friday's match will feature two of Tennessee's three nationally ranked teams -- North Carolina is the only other state with as many schools.
• They will also travel to take on No. 16 Tennessee on Sept. 27, which will also be broadcast on SEC Network.
Best of the Best
• Friday’s match will also be the 12th top-25 battle Vanderbilt has played since the 2025 season, with seven of them occurring in the regular season.
• The Dores went 4-2 in top-25 regular season battles in 2025, won three more en route to the SEC Tournament title and went 2-1 against ranked competition in the NCAA Tournament.
• At home, they went 6-1 in top-25 matchups.

• Vanderbilt’s 4.0 goals per game rank 12th in the country and third in the SEC.
Protecting The Plex
• The Dores went 11-1-1 at home last season, falling once in the Elite Eight in overtime to TCU.
• Since 2022, they are 35-5-8 at home.
Dore Debuts
• Four more freshmen -- Nina Laba, Allison Kleiner, Hailey Perkins and Ana Ramirez -- made debuts in the 4-0 win against ETSU on Sunday.
• Perkins was a spark plug down the right wing, playing a part in all three second-half goals and claiming assists on two. Lena Tusche saw her first collegiate action against SMU and also registered an assist on the fourth goal against ETSU.
• Transfers Megan Hinnenkamp, Layla Armas and Lydia Ungashick made their Vanderbilt debuts on Aug. 12 in the opener against SMU.
