NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Althea Thomas announced the program's 2026 cross country schedule Wednesday. The six-meet slate begins Sept. 1 with the Vanderbilt XC Invite in Nashville and concludes Nov. 21 at the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana.
The Commodores will host the Vanderbilt XC Invite to open the season before traveling to Chicago for the Sean Earl Lakefront Invite on Sept. 25.
Vanderbilt returns to competition Oct. 16 at Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute. The meet will provide the Commodores with an opportunity to compete on the course that will host the NCAA Championships later in the season.
The postseason begins Oct. 30 at the SEC Championships in Columbia, Missouri. Vanderbilt then travels to Tallahassee, Florida, for the NCAA East Region Championships on Nov. 13.
The season concludes Nov. 21 at the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute.
