NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt Athletics is bringing Commodore fans together for a full afternoon of excitement on Saturday, Aug. 29, with the return of Dore Jam and a special opportunity to cheer on Vanderbilt volleyball.
Dore Jam, Vanderbilt's annual fan festival celebrating the start of the athletic year, will take place from 2-4 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium. Fans will have the opportunity to meet Vanderbilt student-athletes, participate in interactive activities, enjoy family-friendly entertainment and celebrate the start of another exciting Commodore season.
Participating programs are expected to include football, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's tennis, lacrosse and cross country/track and field, among others. Fans can enjoy interactive games, player engagement opportunities, face painting, Mr. C’s Kids Club sign-ups and more.
Following Dore Jam, Commodore fans are encouraged to stay for Vanderbilt volleyball's second home match, which has been moved to a 4 p.m. first serve to create a true Vanderbilt Athletics kickoff celebration. The adjusted match time allows fans to attend both events in one afternoon.
As an added benefit, fans attending Dore Jam will have the opportunity to receive a complimentary ticket to the volleyball match, providing another way for the Commodore community to support Vanderbilt student-athletes throughout the day.
