NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women's tennis matched last year's program record for ITA Scholar-Athlete selections, once more posting eight student-athletes to the list while claiming ITA All-Academic Team honors for another season.
Seniors Naomi Katz, Sonya Macavei and Bridget Stammel, junior Valeria Ray, sophomores Trinetra Vijayakumar and Sophia Webster, and freshmen Erin Pearce and Mia Yamakita were all named 2026 scholar-athletes by the ITA. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must boast a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the current academic year.
In 2026, 1,501 Division I Women’s student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, and 231 Women’s tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above. All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
