NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt bowling freshman Sydney Bohn was named the Conference USA Co-Newcomer of the Month for February, the league announced Wednesday.
In February, Bohn made 84 percent of all makable spares. At the Storm Flyer Classic, she contributed to the Dores’ 299 Baker game.
Bohn was the third overall, top freshman finisher at the Mid-Winter Invitational, averaging 228.6 pins per game. At the event, she compiled scores of 227, 191, 227, 232 and 266. She had a season-high 64 percent strike percentage and an 83.3 percent spare conversion percentage in traditional games.
To end the month, she anchored Vanderbilt’s winning team at the Stallings Invitational.
Vanderbilt bowling is back in action March 14-16 when the Commodores host the Music City Classic at the Smyrna Bowling Center.
