NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt lacrosse had three student-athletes receive American Athletic Conference weekly honors Monday after the Commodores earned a 19-4 victory over Central Michigan in their season opener on Saturday.
Alex Gladding, a freshman defender from Pompano Beach, Florida, was named Freshman of the Week. Gladding earned a start in her collegiate debut, grabbing one ground ball and causing a game-high four turnovers.

Kemper Robinson was chosen Midfielder of the Week after posting a career-best five goals on five shots, one of which was a free position. Robinson grabbed two ground balls and caused two turnovers to help lift the Commodores over the Chippewas.

Brooke Baker, a transfer from North Carolina, was named to the AAC Honor Roll after posting six points in Saturday’s win. The graduate student had five goals, three of which came in the first quarter. Baker also tallied one assist and one ground ball.

The Commodores posted 19 goals in Saturday’s game, their most in a season opener since 2015 when Vanderbilt topped Kennesaw State 24-1 in Nashville.
The Dores hit the road for back-to-back games kicking off Wednesday at Butler in a noon CT first draw. The game will be shown on FloLive TV.
