Q: Why did you choose to commit to Vandy?
Gaven: “Vanderbilt felt like the perfect place to come to for my 5th year because it was a great balance of high academics, competitive athletics, and a fun social life.”
Q: What are your academic goals while at Vanderbilt and longterm?
Gaven: “Some of my goals are to graduate with my Master’s Degree in Finance and to leverage the education and experiences gained at Vanderbilt to pursue a career in finance.”
Q: What made you decide you wanted to continue lacrosse in college?
Gaven: “Lacrosse has always been an important part of my life and I have loved the game since I was a little girl. I am so grateful to the Vanderbilt coaches for giving me the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love with an amazing team for my last year of eligibility.”
Q: What would you say your biggest strength as a player is?
Gaven: “One my best strengths is my mental toughness & positive attitude. I do everything I can to stay focused on the next play and bring as much positivity to the team as possible.”
Q: What about Nashville are you most excited to explore?
Gaven: “I am excited to explore the music and food scene here in Nashville! There are so many great live music venues and concerts that I want to go to, new restaurants that I want to try, and historical sites and museums that I want to check out.”
Q: What are your hobbies outside of lacrosse?
Gaven: A few hobbies outside of lacrosse are traveling, reading, volunteering and cooking.”
Q: Do you have any hidden talents?
Gaven: “A hidden talent is that I can juggle.”
Q: What is a random, fun fact about you that most people don’t know?
Gaven: “I am a dual citizen of Ireland and played on the Irish Women’s National Lacrosse Team. I can also sing the Irish National Anthem in Irish!”
