Commodore Notes
Vanderbilt hit its first losing streak on the season this week, losing to Indiana State on Tuesday night and dropping all three games at Tennessee over the weekend. The Commodores and Volunteers went to extra innings in Game 1, but Tennessee hit a walk-off homer in the 12th inning to claim the opener. Carter Holton turned in six strong innings, holding Tennessee to one run on two hits with six strikeouts. Vanderbilt fell behind early in the next two contests and was unable to overcome the deficits. The Dores fought back with five late runs in Sunday’s game, but Tennessee held on to win, 10-5.

Vanderbilt looks to snap the losing streak as Kentucky visits Nashville this weekend. The series begins at 6 p.m. Friday on SECN+ and continues at 2 p.m. Saturday, also on SECN+. Sunday’s finale will air on SEC Network with first pitch set for 2 p.m.
