NASHVILLE, Tenn. — It will be a split squad weekend for the Vanderbilt outdoor track and field team. The Commodores will head to the Tennessee Relays in Knoxville and the Miami Invite in Miami, Florida.
The three-day meet in east Tennessee will begin Thursday, while the invitational in Miami starts Friday with the heptathlon and several field events. The running events begin Saturday with the steeplechase at 1:30 p.m. CT and continue through the 4×400 relays at 6:35 p.m.
Last weekend, the Commodores posted three school record times and eight other all-time top-10 program performances at the Bulldog Relays and Raleigh Relays. A full recap is here. Through two meets this year, the Commodore women boast three school records and a total of 15 top-10 performances.
Vanderbilt had eight performances rank among the top 50 in the nation after two weeks of competition and currently have 14 individual performances among the top 48 who would qualify for the NCAA East Regionals.
Following the weekend, Vanderbilt will host its annual Black and Gold Invitational on April 16-17.
