NASHVILLE, Tenn — Senior Elizabeth Scarrone earned American Athletic Conference Attack Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The honor comes after Scarrone put up a combined seven goals in Vanderbilt’s two games last week.
In the Feb. 24 win over Central Michigan, Scarrone posted a career-high five goals, including three in the second half to help the Commodores pull away.
She followed up with two goals on Feb. 28 at No. 1 North Carolina.
It is the first weekly award in Scarrone’s career.
Scarrone is the second Commodore to earn an award from the AAC this season joining goalkeeper Paige Gunning who took home Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 22.
