NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Oracle ITA released its top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles tandems on Wednesday with a pair of Commodores ranking among the nation’s best.
In singles, sophomore Georgia Drummy leads the team by moving up 13 spots since the preseason rankings to wrap up the fall season as the No. 22 player in the nation.
Drummy earned a stellar start to the season by commanding 10 victories, including eight wins over ranked opponents. In the ITA-All Americans Round of 64, Drummy defeated No. 10 Kenya Jones to earn her biggest upset of the fall.
Joining Drummy in the top singles rankings, senior Christina Rosca marks her spot in the top 125 singles players coming in at No. 32 in the nation.
Rosca claimed a 9-6 record in the fall season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA All-Americans in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In doubles, Rosca and Drummy conclude the fall season as the No. 12 doubles duo in the nation. The pair wrapped up the fall with five victories including taking down the No. 1 doubles pair North Carolina State’s Anna Rogers and Alana Smith at the ITA All-Americans, 8-6.
Drummy and Rosca will be back in action to kick off the spring season on January 18th as they compete in the Miami Spring Invite in Coral Gables, Florida.
