OMAHA, Neb. – The Vanderbilt Commodores and Mississippi State Bulldogs each look to remain unbeaten at the College World Series as the clubs face off on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from TD Ameritrade Park. The game can be seen on ESPN and heard on WNSR 560 AM/95.9 FM and VUCommodores.com.
Vanderbilt (55-11) set a school record with its 55th victory, coming on Sunday with a 3-1 result against Louisville. Sophomore Austin Martin became the 53rd player in the College World Series to post a multi-homer game and just the second among those to account for all of his teams’ RBIs.
Mississippi State (52-13) mounted a four-run rally in the ninth inning to walk-off Auburn 5-4 in Sunday’s nightcap. The Bulldogs, who trailed by three entering the ninth, recorded their 28th come-from-behind win of the season and fifth in six NCAA postseason games.
