Vanderbilt head men’s basketball coach Jerry Stackhouse has announced the hiring of Carlos Daniel as the team’s strength and conditioning coach. Daniel comes to Nashville after spending the last two seasons as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Denver Nuggets.
Daniel has over 18 years of professional experience in basketball, both as a player and as a coach, which includes 12 years of experience in the fitness industry.
Before his time with the Nuggets, Daniel was the Director of Men’s Basketball Strength and Conditioning for the University of Connecticut in 2017. He has also worked at St. David’s HealthCare at the University of Texas from 2016-17, where he served as the Director of Applied Sports Science, and as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for men’s basketball and men’s tennis at Southern Methodist University in 2015-16.
