NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt senior Patrick Martin was selected as a captain’s pick by U.S. Palmer co-Head Coach Scott Limbaugh for the Palmer Cup, an annual Ryder Cup-style competition that will be played June 7-9 at the Alotian Club in Little Rock, Arkansas. Martin joins teammates Will Gordon and John Augenstein on the team.
Martin, a three-time GCAA All-American, is averaging 70.40 strokes per round this season, which would rank sixth all-time, and his career average of 70.85 ranks second on Vanderbilt’s all-time list behind Matthias Schwab (2013-17, 70.81). He has three top five finishes this season and two other top ten finishes, and ended his home career with a runner-up finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship in April.
