Vanderbilt adds 19 on National Signing Day

NASHVILLE – Vanderbilt added 19 student-athletes who are set to continue their academic and athletic careers on West End as part of National Signing Day, head football coach Derek Mason announced on Wednesday.

Vanderbilt’s class features incoming student-athletes from nine different states that fill 11 different positions across the roster. The Commodores’ haul lands among the nation’s top 50 classes, per recruiting services Rivals and 247Sports.

The class includes nine offensive players, nine defensive players and one special teams’ member. The Dores continued to mine Tennessee for talent with five in-state products signing with Vanderbilt, including three from the Nashville area.

The Commodores, coming off regular season wins over Ole Miss and Tennessee to earn bowl eligibility, will face 6-6 Baylor from the Big 12 Conference in the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl, scheduled Dec. 27 at NRG Stadium in Houston. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
