- The Commodores snapped their two-game losing skid with an 89-63 win over Tennessee State Wednesday afternoon.
- Chelsie Hall recorded her first career double-double in the victory, matching a season-high 23 points to go along with a career-high 10 assists.
- The win moved Vanderbilt to 2-1 at Memorial Gymnasium.
- LeaLea Carter set a new career-high with nine boards, besting her previous mark of eight against Louisville (Dec. 21, 2016).
- For the second time this season, four Commodores finished in double-digits: Hall (23), Cierra Walker (16), Brinae Alexander (20) and Mariella Fasoula (17).
SCOUTING REPORT
- The Blue Hose dropped a contest to South Carolina State on Tuesday to move to 1-3 on the season.
- Presbyterian’s Bria Gibbs and Salina Virola notched double-doubles in the team’s loss at SC State. Gibbs posted a 23 point, 15 rebound outing while Virola collected had 14 points and 12 boards.
- Gibbs leads the Blue Hose with 11.3 points per game while Virola is averaging 8.8 rebounds.
