Women’s basketball hosts University of Indianapolis In Sunday exhibition

NASHVILLE – The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will play its lone exhibition game on Sunday  against the University of Indianapolis at Memorial Gymnasium. Tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
 
In addition to watching the Commodores, make sure you wear your costume! Kids are invited to take part in the costume contest, the winner will win Vanderbilt basketball gear.
 
The contest will be the debut for three true freshmen: Middle Tennessee products Brinae Alexander and Jordyn Cambridge and Isabella Paldrmic from Lincolnshire, Ill. Also, Lisa Leslie Award watch list member Mariella Fasoula will be able to play in her first game following a transfer season.
 
The Commodores are coming off of a 7-24 season and return three category leaders: Chelsie Hall (11.9 ppg, 3.0 apg, 1.0 spg), Autumn Newby (6.6 rpg) and Cierra Walker (.425 3-pt field goal percentage).
 
The Greyhounds are coming off of an 8-20 season. They squad welcomes back five and brings in six newcomers.
 
Vanderbilt will open its regular-season in Nashville on November 6 against North Alabama. Tip is set for 6 p.m. CT.
