BIRMINGHAM– The Southeastern Conference announced the 2019 SEC schedule on Thursday. The Commodores will take on eight conference foes at home including NCAA Tournament participants, Georgia, Texas A&M Tennessee and LSU.

The conference slate opens on Thursday Jan. 3, as the Dores travel up the road to take on Kentucky before returning home to host Georgia (Jan. 6) and Texas A&M (Jan. 9). Vanderbilt will head to Arkansas for a Sunday matchup with the Razorbacks on January 13 before the first of two byes on January 20. Vanderbilt’s second bye will be on Feb. 7.

Ole Miss will travel to Nashville on Thursday Jan. 24 before the Dores travel to South Carolina for a Monday night matchup. The South Carolina contest is the first of back-to-back road games for Vanderbilt, which will stay on the road for a matchup with Texas A&M in College Station on Jan. 31.

The Commodores will open the month of February by hosting in-state rival Tennessee on Sunday, Feb. 3 before another pair of back-to-back rad games at Missouri (Feb. 10) and at Ole Miss (Feb. 14). Vanderbilt will be back in the friendly confines of Memorial Gym for the first time since Feb. 3 when LSU heads to Nashville on Feb. 17. Alabama will make the trek to Nashville on Feb. 21.

Vanderbilt will play two of its last three games of the regular season on the road, starting with a Feb. 24 contest against two-time NCAA Final Four participant, Mississippi State, followed by a trip down I-40 to take on Tennessee on Feb. 28.  The Dores will close out the regular season on March 3 when Florida travels to Nashville and Memorial Gym for Senior Day.  The Dores will celebrate Bree Horrocks and her contributions to the program.

Television and times will be announced at a later date.  Earlier this summer, the SEC announced the three-year opponent rotations.
