RENO, NV—Amanda Fry continued her outstanding play Monday at The Queen’s, one of bowling’s major events, and as a result earned a spot on Tuesday night’s nationally televised finals.

The Antelope, Calif., native and 2016 Vanderbilt graduate gained the No. 5 stepladder seed and will play the four seed – Stephanie Johnson – at 7:00 p.m. CDT on the CBS Sports Network. Fry was a one-time member of Junior Team USA and a third-team All-America in 2013 while attending Vanderbilt.

The winner of that match plays Liz Johnson, who survived a battle with Josie Barnes when the Vanderbilt assistant coach uncharacteristically missed a single 10 pin in the 10th frame to lose by two pins. Shannon O’Keefe has the No. 2 seed and Bryanna Cote is the top seed.

The Queen’s attracts the best talent in bowling. Those with Vanderbilt ties in addition to Fry and Barnes include alumni Giselle Poss and Natalie Goodman along with current Commodore Jordan Newham,
