NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team returns home this weekend, hosting Tennessee State and Austin Peay inside the Currey Tennis Center. The Dores host Nashville neighbor, TSU, at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. CT, while the squad wraps up the day against the Governors at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The Commodores own a 4-2 record with the squad’s victories coming over Middle Tennessee (4-3), Michigan State (6-1), Lipscomb (6-1) and Portland (4-0). VU has progressed in doubles as of late, clinching the point advantage over Portland and No. 1 Wake Forest.
Commodore Notables:
- Vanderbilt enters the weekend with a 4-2 record, having suffered its two losses to ranked opponents
- The Dores hope to break a two loss skid on Saturday
- The latest men’s tennis Oracle ITA singles poll rank Cameron Klinger 44th and Daniel Valent 50th
- Klinger owns one top-10 win on the spring, which came against Wake Forest’s then-fourth-ranked Petros Chrysochos 6-2, 6-4

- Tennessee State currently boasts a 6-1 record, with its lone loss coming against Middle Tennessee
