NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The second-ranked Vanderbilt women’s tennis team will face its first pair of ranked competitors this weekend at the Currey Tennis Center.

The Commodores are set to host the 16th-ranked Baylor Bears Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT. On Saturday at 12 p.m., it’s a battle between the first and second-ranked teams in the nation, as No. 1 Stanford heads to West End.

Last time out:
After opening the season with wins against Nebraska and Florida State, VU heads into the weekend having secured its sixth-consecutive trip to National Team Indoors. While the Dores picked up dual-match experience over the weekend, the squad dropped both doubles points versus Nebraska and Florida State.

The squad rallied in singles, connecting four consecutive victories to clinch the overall team win. No. 19 Christina Rosca clinched VU’s season-opening win over Nebraska, while Astra Sharma sealed the Commodores’ place at National Team Indoors.
