Nashville, Tenn. — Vanderbilt is set to play 11 nationally televised games on the ESPN family of networks during 2018, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday.

The No. 14 Commodores begin SEC play in Starkville, Miss., on March 16 against Mississippi State with the opening game of the series available on the SEC Network as part of the Bases Loaded package, which features all seven league games that night.

All three Vandy Boys matchups at Hawkins Field against preseason nationally-ranked LSU will also be televised. The first two games, set for 8 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., respectively, can be seen on ESPNU while the noon series finale will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Dores visit defending national champion Florida the following weekend with Saturday’s middle game on ESPNU and Sunday’s finale on the SEC Network. Both games are set for an 11 a.m. first pitch from Gainesville, Fla.

ESPNU will be home to the Thursday series opener against Georgia on April 5 at 6 p.m. and the Sunday finale against Ole Miss on April 15 at 4 p.m. Both games take place at Hawkins Field. The network will also carry Vandy’s series opener from Missouri four days later with first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Battle of the Barrel returns to Hawkins Field on Tuesday, May 1, with the matchup between Vanderbilt and Louisville set for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network. The Dores will also appear on the SEC Network at 11 a.m. for the May 13 series finale at Tennessee.

In total, Vandy will play six televised home games and five broadcast road matchups. The Dores also have the potential to be picked up as a wild card game on the final weekend of the year when the squad wraps up SEC play against Kentucky.

Once again, the SEC Network will be the home of the first through semifinal rounds of the conference tournament, taking place May 22-26 at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Birmingham, Ala. The championship game, set for May 27, will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 2 p.m.
