Team Notes:
– Vanderbilt halted a four-game losing streak, downing LSU, 77-71 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gym. The win was the 35th all-time against the Tigers in Nashville as the Dores improved to 35-16 against LSU at the facility.
– The single-digit difference was the fifth in SEC play for Vandy who won its first by the margin since defeating Alabama, 76-75 on Jan. 2.
– The Commodores started hot, leading throughout before the Tigers battled back, taking their first lead of the game at 65-64 with 2:21 remaining. – Vandy held LSU to just 35.7 percent shooting in the first half including 2-for-8 from behind the 3-point line. The Dores turned in a 51.9 percent opening half, draining 5-of-10 from behind the arc and led 34-28 at the break.
– The Dores limited LSU to 4-of-19 from behind the 3-point line. The 21 percent marked a season low for the Tigers as no player drained more than one trey.

Player Notes:
Riley LaChance finished with 26 points and Jeff Roberson added 20, marking the first time since Jan. 28, 2017 that a pair of Commodores had produced 20-plus points in a game. That feat came against Iowa State.
– Lachance finished one point shy of his career high (27) which he brought in on November 28, 2017 against Radford. The 20-plus point performance was the sixth of his career and second of the season.
– Roberson recorded 20 points for the second time in three games and has now recorded double-digit points in four-straight and eight of his last nine games.
– After scoring just two points on 1-of-3 shooting in the first half, Saben Lee was cluch down the stretch. The freshman turned a steal into a dunk with 1:43 left, putting the Dores up three and hit again on the next possession after LSU had trimmed its deficit back to one. The guard posted 10 points in the second half.
– LSU was led by forward Duop Reath who set a new career high with 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting. The Ball, Louisiana, product accounted for 18 points in the second half including an impressive 8-of-12 mark from the field.
