The Vanderbilt Swimming team has arrived in Houston, Texas for a two-day meet against the Houston Cougars and Arkansas Razorbacks on January 19 and 20 at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
Vanderbilt heads into the three team meet this weekend riding a two-meet winning streak after defeating Campbell and Marshall in December and November, respectively. This is the team’s second trip to the Bayou City this season, after competing in the three-day Phill Hansel Invitational in November, when Vandy rose three spots duration of the competition to finish in 6th place.
The similarities don’t end there, as this is also the second time Vandy has competed against the Razorbacks in the 2017-18 campaign after hosting Arkansas at the Centennial Sportsplex last fall.
Vanderbilt comes into the meet after spending a week in the Bahamas for a training trip earlier this month. After the meet, the team will spend less than a week home before heading to Little Rock, Ark. To take on Arkansas Little Rock on January 27.
