Travel squad: Katie Stark, Jordan Newham, Kristin Quah, Maria Bulanova, Kelsey Abrahamsen, Bryanna Leyen, Adel Wahner, Emily Rigney.
19 Competing Teams: Alabama A&M, Alabama-Birmingham, Alabama State, Arkansas State, Central Missouri, Drury, Grambling, Jackson State, Lincoln (Mo.), Lincoln Memorial, Louisiana Tech, Maryville, McKendree, Nebraska, Sam Houston, Stephen F. Austin, Texas Southern, Valparaiso, Vanderbilt
Livestream and updates: The plan is to livestream on YouTube but as regular viewers well know, WIFI strength in the host house can dictate a change. If there are immediate issues, the team’s Facebook stream should have the actions. Brief game summaries are on the team’s Twitter and Facebook.
Recapping the fall season: Vanderbilt had three third place finishes in four events. Quah and Bulanova had dominating performances, each making two all-tournament teams and each winning an event. Bulanova, the sophomore anchor, won the Warhawk while Quah, a junior, won the Hawk Classic.
Last year in Jonesboro: The Commodores needed two days to knock the rust off after their break but went unbeaten Sunday to finish third.
More than bowling: On the bus ride to Jonesboro Thursday, the Commodores will stop in Memphis to tour the National Civil Rights Museum before continuing to the Hijinx Family Fun Center for a mid-afternoon practice. The historical stop is in keeping with the Vanderbilt way of encouraging growth and learning when the opportunity arises.
