Team Record and Series Notes:

  • This is the 115th year of Vanderbilt basketball, with the first season taking place in 1900-01. There were no teams in 1904-05 and 1905-06.
  • The Commodores hold a 69-68 record all-time against the Crimson Tide following the win Tuesday night.
  • Bryce Drew improves to 1-1 all-time versus Alabama.
  • The Dores are now 6-3 at Memorial Gym this season.

Team Notes:

  • Tonight marked Vanderbilt’s 1,013th straight game with a three-point field goal. Vanderbilt is just one of three schools to have made a three-point basket in every game since the inception of the three-point line in the 1986-87 season. The others are Princeton and UNLV.
  • Starters for tonight’s game were Saben Lee, Riley LaChance, Jeff Roberson, Maxwell Evans and Clevon Brown.
  • The Dores hit 10 three-pointers in Tuesday night’s win, their sixth game this season with 10 or more.
  • Vanderbilt had four players score in double-figures for the sixth time this season. They are now 4-2 in those games.
  • The Dores won the rebounding battle (33-31) for the ninth time this season.
  • The Commodores were 20-for-26 (77 percent) from the free throw line. It is the sixth game this season they have hit 20 or more.

Player Notes:

  • Saben Lee led the team with 23 points on the night. It is his second 20-point performance of the season.
  • Lee scored the last 12 points of the first half to give the Dores a 10-point lead at the break.
  • Jeff Roberson scored 17 points in the win, his 12th game this season scoring in double figures.
  • Matthew Fisher-Davis and Riley LaChance were the other two Dores in double-figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
  • Fisher Davis was 3-for-4 from three, his fourth game in a row with three or more made 3-pointers.
  • Maxwell Evans earned his first career start Tuesday night against Alabama.
  • Evans scored nine points in a career-high 24 minutes of action.
  • Djery Baptiste hauled in seven rebounds off the bench. It is his sixth game this season with five or more.
  • Baptiste also tied a career-high in blocks with three.
