Head coach Derek Mason led the Commodores into the fourth preseason camp with Mason at the helm on Monday afternoon. The Dores worked for approximately 90 minutes in the afternoon sun before wrapping up Day 1.
The Commodores worked primarily in the red zone in team drills on the first day with the team also focusing on special teams and individual work. The Vandy roster opens camp with 99 student-athletes, including 29 newcomers. The squad returns to the practice field tomorrow afternoon for the second day of camp.
Dore Jam Saturday
Vanderbilt is set to host the team’s annual fan day on Saturday inside the team’s multipurpose facility from 4-6 p.m. The football team will be joined by the soccer team, who opens the season August 9 at home against Furman in an exhibition game.
