Senior Kate Sborov was named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar team for her work in the classroom in her career. Sborov’s selection marks the 12th consecutive season the Commodores have had a player named to the exclusive team.
The WGCA All-Scholar team is one of the more prestigious academic honor lists in collegiate sports – student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. The team consists of all three NCAA divisions with 952 women’s collegiate golfers recognized.
Earlier this spring, Sborov was also named the SEC Women’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year and to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the fourth consecutive season.
