NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Vanderbilt women’s tennis program made history in head coach Geoff Macdonald’s 23rd season at the helm. For the first time, the Dores won both the SEC regular-season championship and conference tournament title. Now, Vanderbilt hopes to turn that momentum into another national championship run in the NCAA tournament. Macdonald and company earned a No. 4 overall seed in NCAAs and will host the first and second rounds of the tournament in Nashville beginning on May 12.
The Commodore Insider Podcast caught up with Macdonald, Vanderbilt’s longest-tenured head coach and the 2017 SEC Coach of the Year, to recap his squad’s SEC championships and look ahead to the NCAA tournament.
