The Tennessean: Vanderbilt baseball will honor the memory of Donny Everett this weekend at Saturday’s game against Florida at 2 p.m. His parents – Susan and Teddy – will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game and receive a framed Vanderbilt No. 41 jersey on the field. This Sunday would have been Everett’s 20th birthday. Read here.

Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle: Donny Everett’s alma mater, Clarksville High School, officially retired his No. 14 jersey on Monday during the Wildcats’ District 10-AAA baseball game against rival Rossview. Read here.

VUCommodores.com: This week Vanderbilt Bowling’s Giselle Poss and Maria Bulanova were named first-team All-Americans by the National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTCA), becoming the sixth and seventh Commodores to earn the honor. Bulanova was also named the national Rookie of the Year — Vanderbilt’s sixth rookie honoree — and sophomore Kristin Quah was named an honorable mention All-American. Read here.

TitansOnline.com: Former Vanderbilt defensive lineman Adam Butler worked out for the Tennessee Titans on Thursday as he eyes an NFL career. “I had a lot of fun today,” Butler said. “I learned some new stuff, and it should make me an even better player moving forward.” Read here.

Oren Burks, a rising senior linebacker from Fairfax Station, Va., was one of four finalists for the 13th annual Wooden Citizenship Cup, presented by Athletics for a Better World. Burks traveled to Atlanta to participate in activities with other finalists, after which ESPN personality Dick Vitale tweeted support of Burks.

VUCommodores.com: Vanderbilt won the NCAA bowling championship in 2007, just two years into the program’s existence. Now the Commodores, led by head coach John Williamson, venture to Baton Rouge, La. to vie for another national title 10 years later. Read here.

Vanderbilt women’s basketball took part in Make-A-Wish’s “Walk for Wishes” at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park in Nashville. The event supported Make-A-Wish of Middle Tennessee.
