The Commodore women’s golf team heads to the Clemson Invitational at the The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset, S.C., in their final tune up before the SEC Championship this Friday through Sunday. Vanderbilt will compete with 16 other teams on the par-72, 6,260-yard layout.
“We are looking forward to playing The Reserve again,” said Vanderbilt head coach Greg Allen. “It was a course we played well last year so three of our five players come in with good memories. I’ve been pleased with practice since we got back from Phoenix. And just like every event we play in, the field is strong. Our focus will be on the shot being played.”
Vanderbilt will send senior Kate Sborov, junior Alexandra Farnsworth, sophomore Courtney Zeng, and freshmen Alison Armstrong and Abbey Carlson.
Competing with the Commodores this weekend is host Clemson, Houston, Texas A&M, Florida, Tennessee, Furman, Florida State, Texas, Ohio State, Louisville, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Tulane, Columbia, Mississippi State, and UNC Wilmington.
