Vanderbilt went 3-1 during the week with a victory over Belmont on Wednesday night at First Tennessee Park and a series victory vs. Texas A&M over the weekend at Hawkins Field… The Commodores clobbered Belmont 17-11 on Wednesday night at First Tennessee Park scoring a season-best 17 runs on a season-high 17 hits… Will Toffey drove in a career-best six runs with a career-high four hits, including a three-run inside the park home run, with Julian Infante picking up a career-best four hits… Chandler Day earned the win with four innings of work, giving up four runs on six hits… Vanderbilt used one swing of the bat to win the series opener Friday night against Texas A&M 4-3… Jeren Kendall hit his first career grand slam and the Commodores’ first since 2015 in the second inning… Kyle Wright won his first game of the season by allowing three runs on six hits with six strikeouts over five innings… Reed Hayes recorded his fourth save with a career-best 1.2 innings… The Dores hammered A&M 17-3 on Saturday afternoon, hitting a season-high four home runs… Jeren Kendall, Will Toffey, Julian Infante and Ethan Paul all hit homers in the win… Reed Hayes knocked in a career-best four runs with Toffey and Infante driving in three each… Patrick Raby dominated over seven scoreless innings for his fourth win of the season… Vandy could not finish the sweep on Sunday in a 6-4 loss to the Aggies… Jeren Kendall extended his streak to six straight games with at least two hits with a pair of singles… Collin Snider took the loss after giving up three runs on six hits over 3.2 innings… The Commodores return to First Tennessee Park on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. to take on their second Nashville team in Lipscomb… Vanderbilt hits the road for the weekend with a trip to No. 19 Kentucky on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
