NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt soccer team takes on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders Sunday afternoon at 5 pm in its first of five spring tests.
VU’s opener against the Blue Raiders will be held at the Dean A. Hayes Soccer Stadium. All competitions throughout the spring will either be away matches or played at a neutral site in Murfreesboro, Tenn. at Richard Siegel Park.
While Ambrose said the goal of the spring season is to get a sense of the team’s younger players, the squad is excited to throw redshirt-junior Simone Charley back into the mix and experiment with the offense. In their last meeting back in 2012, Vandy defeated MT by a score of 2-0 to make the overall record 5-0-0.
