Vanderbilt track & field is set to begin the outdoor season on Friday as the travel down to Atlanta for the Yellow Jacket Invitational. It will be the first outdoor meet of the season for the Commodores after the indoor season wrapped up last weekend with Three Commodores earning All-American Status at the NCAA National Championships in College Station, Texas.
Teams that Vanderbilt will be competing against this weekend include Belmont, Florida State, Franklin Pierce, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Louisville, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and UNC Asheville.
There are 17 Commodores scheduled to compete on Friday including 10 athletes in the 1500-meter run. Sarah Goodale, who is scheduled to compete in the 100-meter hurdles and the javelin throw, is the only athlete scheduled to compete in multiple events for Vanderbilt on the day.
