NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team is ranked in both collegiate men’s tennis polls this week, checking in at No. 20 in the USTA poll and 27th in the ITA poll released Tuesday.
Individually, two student-athletes appear in the ITA’s singles poll with sophomore Cameron Klinger sitting at No. 61 in the nation and junior Daniel Valent at 114th.
The Commodores boast an 8-3 overall record and nearly knocked off No. 1 Virginia (L, 4-3) and No. 13 Northwestern (L, 4-3) inside the Currey Tennis Center. Of their 11 matches this season, Vanderbilt has clinched the doubles point in eight competitions and owns two or less losses in singles on courts two, three and five.
VU wraps up non-conference play Feb. 27, as the squad hosts No. 7 North Carolina at 2 p.m.
