On campus in Nashville — Rhett Wiseman knows what it takes to play baseball at Vanderbilt. The Massechusetts native starred for the Commodores as an outfielder from 2013-15, helping the program win its first-ever national championship in 2014 under head coach Tim Corbin. Wiseman was selected by the Washington Nationals in the third round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft, and he currently plays in the Nats’ organization.
This week the Commodore Insider Podcast caught up with Wiseman while the former ‘Dore worked out on campus in preparation for spring training. Wiseman discussed his recruitment to Nashville, the process behind Tim Corbin’s success, adjusting from college to professional baseball and what to expect from the #VandyBoys in 2017.
