Continuing their efforts to make a positive impact in the community, the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team will show its support this weekend for “Dress the Success” — an organization that empowers women by providing attire to help them thrive in work and in life.
Fans who attend Sunday’s 2 p.m. game against Missouri at Memorial Gym are encouraged to bring gently-used items — shoes, jewelry and purses — to donate to Dress for Success. Donation boxes will be located at the Southeast and Kensington entrances to Memorial Gym.
Dress for Success is an international not-for-profit organization that helps women achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Since starting operations in 1997, Dress for Success has expanded to almost 145 cities in 21 countries. To date, Dress for Success has helped more than 925,000 women work towards self-sufficiency.

The game will also be Vanderbilt’s “We Back Pat” game as the Commodores take part in the SEC’s initiative focused on building support for The Pat Summitt Foundation and the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by honoring the late Tennessee head coaching legend.
