Team Notes

-With the win over Auburn, Vanderbilt improved to 8-6 overall and 2-0 in the SEC.

-The last time Vanderbilt was 2-0 in SEC play was the 2011-12 season. The team started out 4-0 in conference play that year.

-Vanderbilt’s win marked its 13th consecutive victory in the series against Auburn. The Commodores now lead the all-time series by a margin of 89-51.

-Vanderbilt finished the game 14-33 (42.4%) from 3-point range. Vanderbilt now has 30 3-pointers combined in the past two games.

-Vanderbilt out-assisted Auburn by a margin of 18-8.

-The Commodores had an assist on 18 of its 28 (64%) made field goals.

-Vanderbilt never relinquished the lead after Luke Kornet made a free throw with 19:37 in the first half to give the Commodores a 1-0 edge.

-The Vanderbilt lead was as large as 26 when Riley LaChance hit a 3-pointer to give the Commodores an 80-54 advantage.

Individual Notes

-Matthew Fisher-Davis led all scorers with 33 points, a new career-high, on 11-20 (55%) shooting. He scored 21 of his 33 points in the first half.

-The last player to score 33 points for the Commodores was AJ Ogilvy on Mar. 4,

-Fisher-Davis also knocked down seven 3-pointers, a new career-high. He made five in the first half.

-Fisher-Davis also tied a season-high rebound mark by grabbing seven boards.

-Luke Kornet recorded his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

-Payton Willis grabbed a career-high five rebounds from the point guard position to go along with seven points and six assists.
