Getting back to business after the Thanksgiving holidays, the Vanderbilt women make the short trip to Martin, Tenn., this weekend to face in-state rival UT Martin on Sunday afternoon. Vanderbilt (4-1) will will carry a three-game winning streak into the contest, and the Commodores will be seeking their 11th straight win in the series against the Skyhawks. Here’s a closer look at the game:

l Update on the Commodores: Vanderbilt rides into Sunday’s game with a high level of momentum after completing an impressive homestand that featured three wins in the span of six days. The homestand, which was capped by a 75-59 victory over Robert Morris on Tuesday afternoon, featured attention-grabbing wins over Drexel and Duke. … Individually, Rebekah Dahlman is leading VU in scoring at 14.0 points per game and is also the team leader in assists at 4.0 apg. … Marqu’es Webb is averaging a team-high 10.8 rebounds per game, which ranks among the national leaders.

l What’s trending: Entering the weekend, the Commodores are shooting 39.2 percent from 3-point range in the first five games, which ranks third in the SEC and 30th in the nation. …. The Commodores are averaging eight 3-pointers per game, which leads the SEC and ranks 46th in the nation. … Vanderbilt is ranked 25th in the nation and No. 2 in the SEC in free throw percentage (78.4). … The Commodores made 14 3-pointers against Kennesaw State (finishing 14-of-26) in the season opener, which represents the most 3-pointers by an SEC team in a game this season.

l Veteran leaders making a big impact: Senior Marqu’es Webb and redshirt junior Rebekah Dahlman are both putting together terrific numbers through the first five games of the season. Entering the weekend, Dahlman was ranked 10th in the nation in 3-point percentage (61.1) and 17th in the country in free throws made (27). She is ranked second in the SEC in 3-point accuracy (61.1), third in free-throw percentage (90 percent), tied for seventh in assists (4.0 apg) and 18th in scoring (14.0 ppg). … Webb, meanwhile, is averaging 10.8 rebounds per game, which ranked fourth in the SEC and 28th in the nation entering the weekend. Webb, who ranks fifth in the SEC among active players in career rebounds with 494, ranks 13th in the nation in total rebounds with 54.

l The lowdown on UT Martin: The Skyhawks (1-4), members of the Ohio Valley Conference, enter Sunday’s game on a two-game skid after dropping road games to Ohio and Samford in the past week. … UT Martin has struggled on the defensive end this season: The Skyhawks have allowed 77.4 points per game, which ranks 315th in the nation. … Freshman Kendall Spray is leading UT Martin in scoring at 11.8 points per game, and junior Ashton Feldhaus is averaging 11.2 ppg. Spray ranks 16th in the nation in 3-pointers attempted (42) and 19th in 3-pointers made (15th)… The UT Martin roster features sisters Ansley and Emily Eubanks, from Oakland High in Murfreesboro. … UT Martin’s lone win this season was an 84-72 victory at Western Carolina on Nov. 16. … The Skyhawks have been road year this season, having played four straight games on the road after opening the season with a home loss to Louisville.

l Series History: Sunday’s game is the 13th all-time meeting between Vanderbilt and UT Martin. The Commodores own an 11-1 lead in the series, and have won 10 straight against the Skyhawks, including a hard-fought 64-61 victory last season in Nashville (More on that game below). … The Commodores have a 4-1 record against the Skyhawks on UT-Martin’s home floor, with the most recent contest coming on Dec. 7, 2011, when Vanderbilt posted a 99-84 victory. … The series dates back to the 1979-80 season, when the Commodores earned a 74-55 victory in Nashville in the first-ever game between the teams. … Vanderbilt is 7-0 all-time against UT Martin at Memorial Gym.

l Most recent game vs. UT-Martin (Dec. 21, 2015): Kristen Gaffney converted two free throws with just under a minute remaining and Christa Reed made two more with nine seconds left to help the Commodores squeak past UT Martin 64-61 last season at Memorial Gym. UT Martin had a chance to tie the game after Reed’s late free throws, but the Skyhawks were unable to get a shot off on their final possession. Reed finished with a game-high 20 points and Rachel Bell added 10. The Commodores built a 10-point lead in the third quarter, but UT Martin battled back and trailed only 60-59 with 1:56 to play in the game before Vanderbilt hit the late free throws to win it.

l This and that: With a win on Sunday, the Commodores would finish November with a 5-1 record. It would be the first time since the 2011 that Vanderbilt emerged from November with less than two losses. (VU went 5-2 in November in each of the past two seasons, 6-2 in 2013 and 4-3 in 2012. Vanderbilt was 7-0 in November of 2011). … Sunday’s game is just the second road contest of the season for the Commodores, who fell to then-No. 23 Indiana, 96-64, in Bloomington, Ind., on Nov. 13 in their only road test thus far. … Vanderbilt has three players who rank among the SEC’s active-players Top-10 for career 3-pointers: Rebekah Dahlman ranks sixth with 112, Christa Reed ranks ninth with 81, and Rachel Bell is tied for 10th with 75.

l VU’s most recent game: Rachel Bell scored a game-high 20 points and freshman Kayla Overbeck added 15 points, finishing 7-of-8 from the floor, to help lead Vanderbilt to a 75-59 victory over Robert Morris on Tuesday afternoon. The Commodores shot the ball effectively, finishing 12-of-14 from the foul line (85.7 percent) and 9-of-21 from 3-point range (42.9 percent). The win was methodical in nature, with the Commodores building a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter and then gradually extending the lead from there. Vanderbilt led 38-26 at the half and built it’s largest lead of the game, 51-33, near the midway mark of the third quarter. Vanderbilt maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way.

l Marqu’es marching toward 500: Marqu’es Webb is zooming toward the 500-rebound mark for her career. With her eight boards on Tuesday against Robert Morris, she now has 494. Webb has posted double-digit rebounding totals in three games this season.

l New leader: Stephanie White is in her first season with the Commodores after being named head coach on May 24. White won her debut with the Commodores on Nov. 11 when Vanderbilt defeated Kennesaw State 96-54 at Memorial Gym. Becoming just the fifth head coach in the program’s history, White replaced former head coach Melanie Balcomb, who resigned in April after 14 seasons with the team. White came to Vanderbilt after spending two seasons as head coach of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever. She led the team to the playoffs each season, including guiding the Fever to the 2015 WNBA Finals in her rookie season to become the first rookie coach in league history to take a team to the finals. During her playing career, she was a standout at Purdue, where she earned national player of the year honors after helping lead the Boilermakers to the 1999 NCAA championship. Her coach that season was Carolyn Peck, who now the associate coach on White’s staff at Vanderbilt.

l Mad success at Memorial: With Tuesday’s win over RMU, the Commodores have now posted a 49-3 record against non-conference foes at Memorial Gym since the start of the 2010-11 campaign, and have won 13 straight non-con home games … Dating back to the start of the 2002-03 season, VU owns a 99-8 record on its home floor in regular-season, non-conference games, including going 18-1 against non-conference opponents at home since the start of the 2014-15 season.

l Signing Day: Comprising the inaugural signing class of Vanderbilt first-year head coach Stephanie White, a pair of highly-rated recruits — Autumn Newby and Chelsie Hall — signed National Letters of Intent with the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team on Nov. 8. Newby is a 6-2 forward from Archer High in Lawrenceville, Ga., who averaged 12.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game last season. Hall is a 5-7 point guard from Seffner Christian Academy in Tampa, Fla., who averaged 21.2 points per game last year. Together, the two players form a signing class that was ranked No. 23 in the nation by BlueStar Report on Wednesday. (Newby was ranked by BlueStar as the No. 20 overall prospect and Hall was ranked No. 28).

l Looking ahead: After the trio to UT Martin, the Commodores will begin preparing for their trip to Colorado Springs, Colo., where they will compete in the Air Force Classic on Dec. 2-3.
