The Vanderbilt men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold a Memorial Madness event next Friday, October 28, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Gym, for the public and Vanderbilt students to help celebrate the beginning of a new era for Commodore basketball and the start of the 2016-17 season.
The event is free for all fans.
Memorial Madness will feature a number of fun events for Commodores fans. Some of those include:
- Hang out with Mr. C and members of the spirit squad.
- Introduction of new men’s basketball head coach Bryce Drew and women’s basketball head coach Stephanie White.
- Meet your Commodore basketball teams.
- Dunk contest.
- Students are can enter to compete in a shooting challenge with members of the basketball teams.
- The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free t-shirt.
- Pizza for the first 200 students.
- Students can enter to win a pair a pair of Beats headphones.
- Both teams will be signing autographs on court following the pep rally.
