NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt midfielder Grace Jackson landed at No. 55 among class of 2020 players in TopDrawerSoccer.com’s 2016 Freshman DI Women’s Top 100, which came out Monday, Oct. 10th.
A native of Atlanta, Ga., Jackson has started all 14 matches for Vanderbilt this season, leading the Commodores in four statistical categories: points (16), goals (5), assists (6) and game-winning goals (3). Jackson’s six assists rank 37th nationally.
The freshman midfielder scored her first collegiate goal as a Commodore against Jackson State on August 28. In league play, Jackson has netted the squad’s first goals against LSU (W, 3-0) and Tennessee (W, 3-2, 2 OT).
While Jackson frequently shows up in statistical categories, her intangibles remain an asset in the attacking third, and she exhibits organizational leadership throughout the midfield.
