The schedule for Stephanie White’s first season at Vanderbilt is now set.
The Commodores’ schedule was finalized on Tuesday when the SEC office announced the conference slate for the 2016-17 season. (Vanderbilt’s non-conference schedule was released in early August). Full release from the SEC office: HERE.
Vanderbilt’s SEC schedule is highlighted by a home date against in-state rival Tennessee on Jan. 5, and a visit to Knoxville on Jan. 22. The slate also includes home-and-home match-ups against LSU and Arkansas.
The SEC office also announced the TV schedule for the upcoming campaign. The Commodores have been tabbed for a total of 12 television games, including 10 games on the SEC Network, one game on ESPN2 and one on ESPNU.
Vanderbilt will appear on national TV for a pair of non-conference games (against Duke on Nov. 20 on the SEC Network and at Memphis on Dec. 28 on ESPNU). The Commodores will then have nine games televised on the SEC Network during conference play, along with one game on ESPN2 (at Tennessee on Jan. 22).
Vanderbilt opens SEC play with a trip to Texas A&M on Jan. 2 before returning home to host Tennessee on Jan. 5. Vanderbilt then travels to Georgia on Jan. 8.
The remainder of the month includes a stretch that is heavy with home games, as Vanderbilt will play four games at Memorial Gym in the span of 17 days. The Commodores host Auburn on Jan. 12 and Missouri on Jan. 15. Then, after two straight road games, the Commodores return home for two more at Memorial Gym — hosting Alabama on Jan. 26 and Florida on Jan. 29.
February will see the Commodores hitting the road for three of their first four games before returning home to host two consecutive games: Ole Miss comes to town on Feb. 19 and Arkansas visits Memorial Gym on Feb. 23.
Vanderbilt concludes the SEC schedule with a visit to LSU on Feb. 26.
