INDIANAPOLIS—Sophomore Jordan Newham led Vanderbilt bowlers after Wednesday’s round of the USBC Junior Gold Tournament. The Illinois product was in 54th place in the field of 792 Under-20 women.
Other Commodores are in need of big performances Thursday to make the upcoming cuts to the field. Adel Wahner (98th), Kasey Eaton (120) and Bryanna Leyen (127) were all averaging between 180 and 178; Gazmine Mason of Cranston, R.I. continues to lead the tournament with a 212.58 average.
