INDIANAPOLIS, IN—Vanderbilt incoming freshman Adel Wahner was seventh in the Under-20 division to lead Commodore bowlers after the first day of the USBC’s Junior Gold Tournament.
Wahner, from Mayfield, N.M., averaged 204.00 Monday in the marathon tournament, which attracted a record 792 women to the upper age division. Julia Bond of Aurora, Ill., leads the field with a 228.75 average.
Sophomores Kasey Eaton was 22nd (197) and Jordan Newham 70th (186.50) and Bryanna Leyen, another freshman from Perry Hall, Md., was 89th (184.75)
