Senior Morgan Ransom and juniors Kate Sborov and Antonia Scherer were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-Scholar team for their work in the classroom in their careers. The three Commodores selected mark the 11th consecutive season the Commodores have had a player named to the exclusive team.
The WGCA All-Scholar team is one of the more prestigious academic honor lists in collegiate sports – student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. The team consists of all three NCAA divisions with 664 women’s collegiate golfers recognized.
The All-Scholar honors are the third for Ransom and Scherer, respectively, and this year marks the first time Sborov has been named to the team.
