Commodores in the Draft
Vanderbilt has had 36 career NBA draft picks, with the last three coming in the 2012 Draft, when the Commodores had two first-round picks, John Jenkins of Atlanta at number 23 and Festus Ezeli of Golden State at 30, and the first pick of the second round when Charlotte selected Jeffery Taylor.
The Commodores have had five first-round draft picks – Jenkins, Ezeli, Will Perdue (Chicago, 11th pick, 1988), Jeff Turner (New Jersey, 7th pick, 1984), and Clyde Lee (San Francisco, 3rd pick, 1966).
The Commodores have had at least two draft picks in the same draft eight times, but have only had two since the draft was shortened to two rounds in 1989 one other time (2012).
The highest draft pick for Vanderbilt came in 1966, when Clyde Lee was drafted by San Fransisco with the third pick.
