LAS VEGAS, NV—Two Vanderbilt bowlers are poised to make the cut at the USBC Queens Tournament after two rounds of qualifying while four other Commodores will need a huge Monday to advance.

Sophomore Kristin Quah led Vandy’s contingent after 12 games with a total of 2,259 (+259), good for 13th place in the international field of 269 professionals and amateurs. Quah was sixth last year at this event, regarded as one of the crown jewels in bowling.

Recent graduate Robyn Renslow is off to a strong start (+208) and is in 30th position with six games left before the cut is made to the top 64 bowlers.

In jeopardy of advancing are Vanderbilt assistant coach Josie Earnest (88th place, +81), senior Giselle Poss, sophomore Jordan Newham and alumnus Natalie Goodman. The tournament is being held at The Orleans Hotel and Casino with detailed coverage on bowl.com.
