Wright dominated over seven innings at No. 2 Texas A&M allowing only three hits and striking out six to win his sixth game of the year.
Worked out of a first inning, first-and-third jam and did not allow a runner past second the rest of the night.

Commodore Notes
No. 8 Vanderbilt topped Western Kentucky 6-1 on Tuesday before losing two-of-three at No. 2 Texas A&M over the weekend… The Commodores took an early lead on Tuesday against the Hilltoppers and cruised to a 6-1 victory… Freshman Matt McGarry earned his first career win in his first career start allowing one run on two hits over three innings… Fellow freshman Julian Infante drove in three runs with a double and a triple in the win… Vanderbilt dropped the series opener at Texas A&M on Thursday night 1-0 in the program’s first-ever game in College Station… Jordan Sheffield was the tough-luck loser despite allowing only one unearned run in the first inning… The right-hander’s 24-inning scoreless streak came to an end but he has not allowed an earned run in 31 innings, after giving up six hits with no walks and five strikeouts… The VU offense stranded 10 men on base, including six in scoring position… The Commodores bounced back to even the series on Friday night behind starter Kyle Wright… The sophomore dominated over seven scoreless innings scattering only three hits and fanning six to win his sixth game of the year… Jeren Kendall reached base four times, including three singles… The Commodores dropped the series on Saturday afternoon being no-hit by Aggies’ starter Kyle Simonds… Freshman Patrick Raby was pinned with his first career loss allowing two runs on four hits over 4.2 innings… Vanderbilt returns home Tuesday to host the Battle of the Barrel against No. 9 Louisville at 6 p.m. on SEC Network before hitting the road again with a trip to No. 1 Florida beginning Friday.
