No. 5 Vanderbilt improved to 20-4 on the year losing on Tuesday at Middle Tennessee before sweeping a three-game series at Missouri… Vanderbilt committed a season-high six errors on Tuesday to blow a four-run lead in a 7-4 loss at Middle Tennessee… Jeren Kendall and Bryan Reynolds each had two hits in the loss… Chandler Day took his first career loss allowing six runs, three earned, on five hits… The Commodores rallied for four runs in the top of the ninth to stun Missouri 8-6 on Friday night… Vanderbilt waited until two outs in the ninth to post four straight two-out hits to take the lead with Jeren Kendall’s two-run single tying the game and Bryan Reynolds’ two-run homer putting VU in front… Evan Steele picked up his first career win with two innings of relief with Ben Bowden notching his first save of the season… The Commodores survived on Saturday to win 2-0 in 11 innings and clinch the series with the team’s fourth shutout… Back-to-back, two-out RBI-singles from Jason Delay and Alonzo Jones proved to be the difference in the 11th… Matt Ruppenthal earned the win in relief with four scoreless innings before Ben Bowden notched his second save in as many days with a perfect inning… Kyle Wright punched out a career-best 10 in six scoreless innings… Vanderbilt finished off the sweep and the team’s 13th straight win over Missouri on Sunday with a 17-7 win… Bryan Reynolds belted two home runs and drove in a career-high five runs to lead Vanderbilt’s 17-hit attack… Ethan Paul had a career-best three hits and drove in a career-high three runs… Ryan Johnson won his third game of the year with 5.1 innings of relief… The Commodores return to Nashville this week for four games beginning Tuesday at First Tennessee Park against Belmont at 6:30 p.m. before hosting No. 14 South Carolina at Hawkins Field beginning Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
