The #10-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores will take on #6-Auburn, #17 Alabama, and perennial power Georgia Tech this Saturday at the FarmLinks Golf Club in Sylacauga, Ala., at the FarmLinks Collegiate Match Play Challenge, a two-round match play event. The FarmLinks Golf Club will be set up as a par-72, 7,444-yard format.

“We added this event to give the guys an opportunity to gain more experience with match play, which is a different type of golf than we play during the season,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “It has become an important part of our postseason, so we felt the more experience we gain could be beneficial. I think we have four excellent teams and it’s going to be a lot of fun on a great golf course. Our message is to continue to have fun, focus on the right things, and embrace the journey we are on.”

Participating Saturday for Vanderbilt is Matthias Schwab, Will Gordon, Patrick Martin, Theo Humphrey, Michael Decker, and Zack Jaworski.

The morning matches will begin at 8 a.m. CT, with the afternoon matches beginning around 1:30 p.m. CT.
